  • CBS Outdoor and Clear Channel Outdoor donated space on a combined total of 30 billboards to spread the word, and hopefully help catch 23-year-old Demetrius Parks, suspected of the fatal Family Dollar store shooting.

Tampa, Florida-- Demetrius Parks- he's wanted in last Sunday's fatal shooting of a Family Dollar store manager, but it's day two since police named him the suspect, and he's still on the loose.

This may be news to some Bay Area locals, but two billboard companies hope to change that as they plaster Parks' picture on digital billboards throughout Hillsborough and Pinellas Counties for all to see.

According to TPD, CBS Outdoor and Clear Channel Outdoor reached out to the department and offered up space on a combined total of 30 billboards to spread the word, and hopefully help close the case.

"Thanks to [their] generosity, the Tampa Police Department is now reaching out to more citizens for help in locating Demetrius Parks who is wanted for murder," TPD said Thursday.

Drivers along several Bay Area roadways will see the Family Dollar murder suspect's mugshot alongside the number to contact Crime Stoppers anonymously.

Police say their offer of a $16,000 reward still stands for any information that leads to Parks' arrest. They hope to receive tips and track Parks down with billboards along the following:

Interstates: I-75, I-275, I-4

Highways and expressways: Veteran's Expressway, US 19, Dale Mabry Highway, Memorial Highway, and the Crosstown Expressway

High-traffic areas: Bearss Avenue, Brandon Boulevard, Pasadena Avenue, Citrus Park Boulevard, Park Boulevard, Ulmerton Road, State Road 580 and Gandy Boulevard

Parks' picture will also appear on billboards near two popular venues, the Tampa Bay Times Forum and the Seminole Hard Rock Casino Hotel.
