ST. PETERSBURG, Florida - On Monday evening, Kevin Burke and his neighbor, Melissa Martino, both received emergency cell phone weather calls alerting them that there was a tornado warning.

Melissa and her husband say the winds picked up and became so strong that when they peeked out their door they had trouble slamming it shut. The two rushed into the bathroom of their home along 87th Avenue North in St. Petersburg and say they heard a loud sound outside.

Meanwhile, Burke grabbed his cell phone and starting shooting video. He lives two streets away from Melissa and her husband.

In the video, you can see the rotation of the water spout before it hits land. As it hits land, you can see large objects tossed around, like a trampoline and an entire dock.

That wooden dock belonged to Martino. When she and her husband emerged from their home, they saw the dock had been pulled from the back of their waterfront home and thrown against the back porch of their next door neighbors home. Those neighbor were cooking out at the time but when the weather turned bad they rushed inside.

Luckily, no one was hurt, but Martino's screened-in patio was damaged. There was broken glass and a barbecue grill tossed around. Her next-door neighbor had several trees ripped apart and tossed into the backyard and their swimming pool.

This is the second time in the last week a waterspout has been spotted in the Bay area.  Last Wednesday a waterspout formed right between the Howard Frankland and Gandy bridges.

Luckily, that particular waterspout stayed over water, and there were no reports of damage or injuries.
