At a towering 335 feet, Falcon's Fury will stand 30 feet taller than the Statue of Liberty and is so tall the FAA is requiring a flashing light on top. Adding to the hype, Park President Jim Dean even joked you'll be able to see it from Miami.
For a comparison closer to home, Falcon's Fury will stand about 8 feet taller than the Towers of Channelside and the Tampa Marriott Waterside.
At the ride's highest point, Busch Gardens has added an element of surprise. Like its bird of prey namesake, riders will pivot 90 degrees in midair to a face-down dive position. An instant later, they'll plunge 60 mph at 3.5 Gs straight down.
Park officials say construction of the drop tower has already started in the in the Timbuktu area of the park. Thrill seekers can mark their calendars for spring 2014 when Falcon's Fury is scheduled to debut.
