NEW PORT RICHEY, Florida - Neighbors of an elderly man who we're told was trapped in his car for four days, is said to be doing well as he recovers at an area hospital.
Justyn "Jay" Ambrozia was rushed to the Medical Center for Trinity
after neighbors said he could not get out of his car after hurting
himself when he fell in a nearby grocery store.
"He's very coherent and everything and he's spunky. He's still spunky," said neighbor, Vivian Burnett.
Neighbors said Ambrozia told them he tripped and grabbed a shelf in
the store, the shelf gave away, and he fell down. We're told employees
there helped him out the front door, but neighbors claim no one called
paramedics. A neighbor said Ambrozia was able to drive home and into his
garage, but because of his injuries he couldn't get out.
He is said to be suffering from a broken hip and a broken arm.
Neighbors said the elderly man was trapped for four days with the
garage door down. His yells and honks went unheard. We're told Ambrozia
had nothing to drink and survived on snacks he just bought from the
store. A neighbor walking by eventually noticed something wasn't right
and Ambrozia was found and rushed to the hospital.
The recovery most likely will be a tough one for the 90-year-old, who
is described as very self-sufficient. It's unclear when Ambrozia will
