LAKELAND, Florida -- Polk County detectives are searching for a woman accused of robbing cigarettes from a Lakeland Circle K.
The Polk County Sheriff's Office says 28-year-old Shonta Denise Wynn entered the convenience store on Highway 92 E at approximately 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 6 and removed a pack of cigarettes. When a clerk confronted her and told her she must pay for them, Wynn allegedly battered the clerk and fled the store.
Wynn is described as being approximately 5'7" tall and weighing approximately 270 pounds. She was last seen driving a green, four door 1994 Mercury with tinted windows, three after-market rims, one stock rim, with FL tag M615KX.
The sheriff's office says she has three active warrants in addition to the robbery and aggravated battery charges in this investigation.
