Hudson, Florida -- UPDATE: The Fivay High School student struck by two cars while crossing Chicago Ave. Thursday has been identified as 16-year-old Ocean-Leigh McKenzie Marshall of Hudson, Florida.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, investigators believe Marshall was walking east on Chris Street before she headed into the intersection of Chicago Avenue, and was struck by a Suzuki SUV in the northbound lane.
The impact was reportedly hard enough to propel Marshall into the southbound lane of Chicago Avenue, where she was struck by a Ford pick-up truck.
FHP says Marshall was taken to Bayonet Point Medical Center, where she is listed in serious condition.

A Pasco County high school student was seriously injured Thursday afternoon after she was hit twice crossing the street.
Investigators say the 10th grader was leaving Fivay High School and crossing Chicago Avenue, when she was hit by a northbound vehicle, and then again by a southbound vehicle.
Emergency workers transported the girl to the hospital with serious injuries.
Fivay's assistant principal sent a recording to parents of students, telling them about the accident. The crisis unit has also been activated in case students are upset about the accident.
