Charles Philip Campbell's 2013 mug shot for his DUI arrest
Tampa, Florida -- The twists and turns continue in the aftermath of the MJ vs. Bubba the Love Sponge shock jock trial.
10 News has learned exclusive new details, where -- according to documents just filed -- Todd "MJ" Schnitt's attorney Phil Campbell promised Schnitt and Schnitt's wife Michelle a "dry" trial and that he would never get another DUI after his 2008 arrest.
All of these details were filed Wednesday in court.
And remember that charging lien filed against MJ by his former attorneys, claiming that they were owed nearly a million dollars in legal fees? Schnitt's new legal team at Florin Roebig filed a response Wednesday, saying that Schnitt and his wife have already paid more than $900,000 in legal fees, plus money for a PR firm to handle the media firestorm surrounding Campbell's DUI arrest.

Schnitt and his wife claim in the documents that their former attorneys at Shumaker, Loop and Kendrick put their law firm interests above everyone, including the interests of their own clients.
A big hearing is scheduled in this case for March 8, where attorneys from both sides will be discussing exactly what happened on that fateful night at Malio's when Phil Campbell was arrested.
