TAMPA, Florida -- The Florida State Fair is a Sunshine State tradition that has thrilled fungoers since 1904.
It welcomes thousands of people, and each year, there is something new to see or ride or do or taste.
The fair is a celebration of the best of Florida, complete with shows, music, rides, food, and shopping for 12 consecutive days in February.
Excitement is in the air all over the fairgrounds, with plenty of free entertainment included with admission. Parking is free.
So what's new this year? 10 News let me loose on the grounds just hours before the fair officially opens and asked me to put together a story, but THAT is not the best idea for a big kid at heart.
