New Port Richey, Florida - Update: The New Port Richey Police Department announced that they have located Geraldine Logan and her Buick at a local motel within the last hour.

She will now be medically evaluated and treated.

The investigation continues, and officials ask anyone having information concerning Logan's whereabouts and activities during the month of November to contact the New Port Richey Police Department at 727-841-4551.

10 News will have more updates as they become available.

Previous story:

Her daughter is worried sick.  Her grandchildren are heartbroken.  Police detecrtives want to find her.  Everyone is left with one big question.

Where in the world is Geraldine Logan?

Her daughter Kelli Carroll told 10 News, "I just want her back, back home, safe. That's all we want.  I need someone to tell us she's okay.  I don' t think there's enough tears inside, I just want her back here."

Family members are hoping for the best, but preparing for the worst.

Their mother, Geraldine, who goes by Gerry has been missing for weeks. The 69-year-old retired school teacher lives in a mobile home in New Port Richey. The last time anyone heard from her was on Halloween.

This past weekend, her daughter, Kelli, went by the house and made a tragic discovery, her mother's dog Sasha, was dead inside, and Gerry was gone.

"I even went to neighbors that night, police went to neighbors that night and no one has seen her for weeks," said Kelli.  "Everybody went through a rolodex and called everybody that I could think of that had contact with her, and the consensus was about five weeks."

Kelli admits that she and her mother have been somewhat estranged in recent weeks, but their love has always been strong.  Now, the search is on for Gerry Logan.

New Port Richey Police have worked non-stop to find the 69-year-old grandmother.  Detectives are working 14-hour days, going door to door, checking hospitals and putting out a description of her tan 1995 Buick LeSabre.

Veteran New Port Richey Police Detective Greg Williams, along with Sgt. Mike Anderson, take a case like this personally.  They have spent countless hours looking for Gerry and are continuing to do so.

Detective Williams  told 10 News, "It's something we take home with us.  We all have family and if one of our family members was missing, we take it personally.  We really want to find her. We want to find her safe."

Kelli admits, "It's like a nightmare, living a nightmare, I wouldn't wish this on anybody ever. It's awful to not know."

There were no signs of forced entry in Gerry's home.

There's been no activity on her credit cards recently or her bank account.  Literally, she disappeared without a trace.  Gerry does have a history of bipolar disorder, severe depression and is on medication, according to her daughter.

Kelli fears that her mother may be lost somewhere or in a hospital. She's begging anyone out there to help find her mother and bring her home safely.

"I just hope someone recognizes her and they let us know what's going on with her," Kelli said.

Please call the New Port Richey Police Department at 727-841-4550, or your local law enforcement agency, if you know the whereabouts of Geraldine Logan or have seen her.
