Most of the late afternoon storms will fade after sunset.  The steering flow is light and storms are crawling at 5 mph.  The range of storms will be mainly over areas east of I-75.

A ridge of high pressure is sitting off the southeast coast of the U.S. and is controlling our weather.  We are on the western edge of that high resulting in light southerly winds that turn onshore each afternoon.  Those winds bring us warm temps and showers that start along the coast, then blow inland.  This is basically what we have seen that last several days and it appears that this will be the case through the weekend.

Tonight Scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 8pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 76. Light west wind. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Wednesday Scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 11am. Mostly sunny, with a high near 91. Heat index values as high as 99. Calm wind becoming west southwest 5 to 7 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Thursday Isolated showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 92. Calm wind becoming west around 6 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Friday Scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 92. Light and variable wind becoming northwest around 5 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Saturday Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 91. Calm wind becoming west 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Sunday Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 91. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Monday Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 91. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Marine Forecast: Winds S-W 10 kts with seas 1-2'.  The bay will be smooth with water temperatures in the upper 80s.
