Washington, D.C. -- Four months until Election Day, the latest unemployment numbers are unchanged at 8.2% for June.
This represents about 12.7 million Americans who are out of work.
While the unemployment rate was unchanged from May, 80,000 jobs were added last month, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
The jobs report also shows professional and business services added jobs. Other industries changed very little or were unchanged.
Professional and business services jobs added include temporary help, management and consulting, and computer systems design.
The number of long term unemployed, those who have been unemployed for 27 or more weeks, also remained unchanged representing 5.4 million people. The long term unemployed make up about 41.9% of the unemployed.
Florida's unemployment rate is 8.6%.
