St. Petersburg, Florida -- Around 7,000 runners hit the streets at 7 a.m. for either the near 14-mile half marathon course, or the shorter 5K in the 3rd Annual Women's Running Magazine Women's Half Marathon in downtown St. Petersburg.
The full course took runners from near Albert Whitted Airport downtown, up around the Pier, north through Vinoy Park, through Snell Isle, back south on 1st Street Northeast all the way to 1st Avenue South and around Mirror Lake.
In a unique feature, runners passed through the inside of Tropicana Field before heading back towards the waterfront. Both the Half Marathon and 5K race began and ended in front of the Mahaffey Theater.

Morning Show anchors Keith Jones, Ginger Gadsden and Bobby Deskins, along with the rest of the 10 News team were up before dawn pouring drinks for runners at water station #2 located near the beginning of the course on Snell Isle.
