Tampa, Florida -- Hundreds of volunteers have joined the fight against hunger.

Feeding Children Everywhere is an organization that provides meals for children who need them most. Founder Don Campbell set out in the quest to fight hunger when he started the non-profit three years ago.

"One of the things we haven't done well is we haven't made hunger the enemy yet," said Campbell.  "Once we identify hunger as an enemy we will have hero's that want to beat up the enemy."

Since then, the organization has shipped more than 20 million meals around the world, 2 million of them helping children right here in Tampa Bay. However, Campbell admits that there is still more work to do.

"You can be 3 years old or 103 years old and you can participate in one of these projects not only with your hands but with your pocket book," said Campbell.  "A quarter provides a meal."

Each package provides enough food to feed a family of six.  The meals are gluten-free with a lentil and rice base. The food is dispersed through local food banks and then to children in need here in the Bay area.
