TAMPA, Florida -- Tampa police say they've arrested a man who allegedly stole a 75-year-old woman's groceries and wallet outside of a gas station earlier this week.
Barbara Felder had reportedly finished shopping at the Marathon Gas Station on N. 40th Street when 38-year-old Gimond Foster approached and offered to help carry her bags. When Felder refused, police say Foster tried to grab the bags, then threatened Felder with a knife.
Foster allegedly stole a bag of groceries and Felder's wallet, which included cash and a credit card.
The Tampa Police Department says officers responding to a domestic dispute in the area of 15th Street and Sligh Avenue recognized Foster from investigative bulletins and arrested him. They say he admitted to the crime.
