St. Petersburg, Florida - A St. Petersburg tattoo shop owner has been arrested on federal drug and gun charges. Police said they found 30 guns, drugs, and other tactical gear in the home of Jason Deon Thomas.
Thomas is a convicted felon. He was arrested back in 2001 on drug charges. The 31-year-old owns JT's The perfect Tattoo Shop at 3001 34th Street North.
It all started after police said they got a tip that Thomas was selling drugs out of his home along the 2200 block of 37th Street North.
Police worked with the ATF on this investigation.
We're told Thomas was arrested Thursday morning and a search warrant uncovered all those guns, including two sawed-off shotguns, numerous assault weapons, and a fully automatic rifle.
Authorities also found several bullet proof vests, a Kevlar body suit, gas masks, and even magazines that each hold one hundred rounds of ammunition.
Investigators said they also seized cocaine, marijuana, and more than $7,000 cash in Thomas' house.
They also searched Thomas' tattoo shop and found some boxes of ammunition.
Thomas' charges are federal.
