Fort Lauderdale, Florida -- The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is kicking off a first of its kind pilot program to help eliminate the invasive Burmese python from the Florida Everglades.
The 2013 Python Challenge starts tomorrow. This is the first time FWC has launched an incentive based hunt. The pilot program will test whether incentive based hunts are an effective way to remove invasive species.
