BRADENTON, Florida -- Loved ones of a Bradenton couple are grieving over their deaths as more information is coming out about the driver who caused the Kentucky crash that killed them.

Brent and Julia Robinson died Christmas Eve when a car slammed into the one they were in, along with Julia's parents. The couple was visiting for Christmas. All four people died.

According to Kentucky authorities, the driver who caused the crash, David Vanderpool, faced roughly 35 charges in seven years. In fact, he was reportedly on parole for a felony conviction at the time and his license was suspended. He also died in the accident.

Friends and family of the Robinsons said they are focused on remembering them instead of concentrating on Vanderpool. "If I get angry, I'll stay angry. The way I'm going to deal with that, is just by not giving that person any of my time," said Brent's best friend, James Morrison.

Brent Robinson grew up in Bradenton and went to Manatee High School, where he played baseball. He graduated from USF and worked as a software developer.

"He was always the first to crack a joke. We fought like brothers and we laughed and poked fun at each other all the time," said Morrison.

Julia grew up in Harlan, Kentucky and earned her degree at Eastern Kentucky University. She also earned a masters from East Tennessee State University, and worked as a speech pathologist.

"It was almost like every time you saw her, you felt happy. She gave you something and she didn't even know that she was giving that to you," said co-worker Kathy White.

Friends said the couple were married for three years and planned on soon starting their own family. "They got along so well and they never wanted to be apart from each other," added Morrison.

The Robinson's funerals are set for Wednesday.
