Wesley Chapel, Florida - As Julie Schenecker sits inside a Hillsborough County jail cell, the memory of her two teenagers she's accused of killing last year lives on.

Friday afternoon the father of Calyx and Beau Schenecker, Parker, sat down with 10 News to discuss an upcoming fundraiser for his children.

From Sept. 17-21, a portion of any purchase at one of six GrillSmith locations in the Tampa Bay area will go to the Calyx and Beau Schenecker Foundation.

The money will help provide scholarships for local teens.

A similar event last year raised more than $10,000 and this year, Parker hopes to exceed that.

Parker, who told 10 News he just returned from Afghanistan, says GrillSmith was chosen because it was one of his children's favorite restaurants.

"My children thought of others all the time.  So this is an opportunity to raise some money, focus on some scholarships for some of the kids in the area," he explained.

Julie Schenecker is still awaiting trial in the case.

She plans an insanity defense, while prosecutors plan to seek the death penalty.
