Merritt Island, Florida — One person has been killed and seven others are injured after a car crashed into a tour bus in Merritt Island, Florida.
The Florida Highway Patrol reports that 49-year-old Patrick Norton swerved into the path of the TraveLynx bus yesterday.
He died at the scene. Seven bus passengers were taken to nearby hospitals.
Authorities say blood tests will be done to determine if alcohol was a factor. Witnesses report that Norton's car began traveling off the road and he apparently overcorrected.
His relatives say he had medical conditions that might have contributed to the crash.
