Dunedin - A pair of Ospreys in Dunedin are gaining worldwide attention. The Osprey pair, located at Saint Andrews Links Golf Course, 620 Palm Boulevard, Dunedin, is nesting on a platform equipped with a web camera.
The three eggs laid by the pair are about to hatch and can be seen at www.DunedinOspreyCam.org.
The Mayor of Dunedin will be visiting the sit on February 3rd to increase awareness of the richness of Dunedin's wildlife and recreational diversity.
"The Osprey Cam" is also a wonderful tool for bringing nature into classrooms," commented Sparky Jones, who founded the project and is President of the Friends of SunCoast Wildlife.
The project has been a team effort between the City of Dunedin, the Clearwater Audubon Society, Zucker and Zucker Marketing with Creativity, a local business hosting the website, and many volunteers.
