ATLANTA (WXIA) -- The Georgia State Senate passed the so-called "Slowpoke Bill" Tuesday. The bill would ticket drivers for going too slowly in the left lane.

It passed nearly unanimously, 42-5, after receiving just nine "Nay" votes in the Georgia House of Representatives.

The bill, which now awaits the signature of Governor Deal.

But it leaves one question open: how slow is too slow?

"Then you get into where that's not a law," said Atlanta resident Steven Gennick. "It's what the cop decides."

From the beginning, the "slowpoke" bill has faced questions about enforcement. The bill's author, Rep. Bill Hitchens, said it was as less about fining drivers as teaching manners.
