SANTA CRUZ, California (CBS SF) - The Santa Cruz Fire Department rescued a woman who fell from a cliff Friday evening east of Natural Bridges State Beach.
Firefighters responded to a report of a person who had fallen at West Cliff Drive and Merced Avenue at 7:42 p.m., according to Battalion Chief Mike Venezio.
They found a woman who had fallen on to rocks around 30 feet below the cliff while taking a walk near the edge. The tide was coming in and threatening to cover the rocks where she lay, Venezio said.
