MOBILE, Ala. (AP) - Authorities say nine people were treated for eye irritation after a jet made an emergency landing in south Alabama when passengers complained of itchy eyes and difficulty breathing.
The Boeing 737 landed around 6 p.m. at Mobile Regional Airport.
Mobile Fire-Rescue spokesman Steve Huffman tells WPMI-TV that said that the nine people treated for eye irritation were doing well. He said another person was taken to the hospital to be treated for high blood pressure.
WKRG-TV reports that the aircraft is a federal plane -- not a commercial one -- and that its destination was unclear.
Few other details were immediately available.
