STATESBORO, Ga. (AP) - The bond hearing for a former south Georgia banker accused of losing millions of investor dollars before vanishing has been rescheduled.
Aubrey Lee Price is due in federal court in Statesboro on Wednesday morning. He was initially scheduled to appear Monday. The 47-year-old was arrested last week during a traffic stop on Interstate 95 in Brunswick.
Price disappeared in June 2012, and investigators have said he sent a rambling letter to relatives explaining that he had lost millions and planned to kill himself.
A Florida judge declared him dead about a year ago.
Price was indicted in federal court in Savannah in July 2012 on charges of taking $21 million from a small south Georgia bank where he was director. He also faces federal wire fraud charges in New York.
