ST. PETERSBURG, Florida - Police are looking for clues to a crime after the body of a murdered man was found in the yard of a home in the old southeast area of St. Petersburg.

Police were called to 1803 Beach Drive SE and found Naykee Demetruis Bostic dead with several gunshot wounds to the upper body.

A family member told 10 News that the 31-year-old's body was discovered by a jogger. The area next to Lassing Park is popular with runners, bicyclists, and dog walkers.

"The point is we're riding and we're out of the bikes getting our little exercise and what if we would have [come] up on something like that. I wouldn't want to them to see that," said Curtis Blue, who was riding down Beach Drive SE with his two sisters.

St. Petersburg police have classified the death a homicide, but have neither a motive nor a suspect.

The victim, Bostic, lived about 10 minutes south of the crime scene along 7th Street South with his 11 year-old daughter.
