Tampa, Florida -- Jared Cano, the Tampa teenager accused of plotting a Columbine-style shooting at Freedom High School will be sentenced on Wednesday.

After his arrest, Tampa Police Chief Jane Castor said the tip leading them to Cano prevented what could have been violence the city has never seen before.

At one point, Cano is heard is even heard calling himself the "Freedom High School shooter in Tampa."

In 2011, Tampa Police say they discovered elaborate plans, bomb making materials, and a manifesto in his north Tampa apartment.

They also uncovered the cell phone videos.

In the video Cano is heard saying he'd get a stash of weapons hidden near the school and come back to the courtyard and then move to the front office, "I'm going to come in and advance onto the courtyard.. Probably be at least 60 people. BUTT TOGETHER Come to the door... Then shoot everyone at the front desk. Mr Stanzo's office is right here. I've got to kill him. Ms. Is here. I've got to kill her. Mr. Peterson is here. I've got to make sure he doesn't die because I like him."

Cano's sentencing is scheduled for 1:30 this afternoon.

He pleaded no contest to the charges against him and could face up to 15 years in prison.

It is also possible he could be sentenced to time served... and released. He's been at the Hillsborough County jail for about one year.
