Metropolitan Ministries estimates it will be serving 35,640 meals this Thanksgiving. While the unemployment rate in Florida has dropped from this time last year, many families are still struggling.
You can help your neighbors simply by making a monetary donation or food donation. A $25 donation will provide a family with a takeaway Box of Hope, containing a complete Thanksgiving meal... turkey and all.

A $35 monetary donation will provide a child with toys and stocking stuffers for the holiday season.
A small donation of $1.76 provides a Thanksgiving meal for a hungry person at one of the Thanksgiving meal locations throughout Tampa Bay.
If you've donated to Metropolitan Ministries in the past, you will find that the Holiday Tent in Tampa has moved from the Metropolitan Ministries site on North Florida Avenue to 400 W. Palm Avenue, a few blocks away.
The location was donated for use during the holidays by SOHO Properties. Metropolitan Ministries is working on constructing Miracle Place, transitional housing for families where the Holiday Tent once stood.
The Holiday Tent opens on Thursday.
Donations needed: turkey or gift certificate, box of cereal, can of fruit, yams, stuffing, cranberry sauce, can of vegetables, dessert mix, gravy, rice, Jello/pudding, potatoes, teen and infant toys.
