Watching Christmas Midnight Mass from Bethlehem in real time

  • Pinellas Park, Florida - For a $17 per month fee you can looking at landmarks of some of the holiest sights in the Christian, Jewish, and Muslim faiths in real time.

    Bay area surveillance expert Michael Peros has used his connections with both the Israeli government and the Palestinian Authority to Install video cameras at places like the western wall of Jerusalem, and Calvary Hill.

    And beginning Sunday afternoon, the website he sponsored will bring services live from the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem into computer monitors all over the world.

    “We're actually going right to the place where Christ was born, and the incredible thing is that this has never been done before, so now the whole world can come in for the biggest celebration for the birth of Christ for Christmas.”

    The movie “Nativity” has helped fuel a renewed interest in the story of the birth of Christ.

    But Peros has been working to bring the holy sites on-line for nine years.

    And the Mass at the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem is geared towards those who've wanted to make the Pilgrimage to the holy land, but could never afford it.
