Tampa, Florida -- A man has been arrested for failing to register as a career criminal.
Ervin Hutson was arrested after the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office developed information that he was in violation of the Florida Career Offender Registration Act and he failed to register as a career criminal.
Officers located Hutson in the area of North Nebraska Avenue and Fowler Avenue and he was arrested without incident.
Failure to register as a career offender is in itself a third degree felony. Career offenders are individuals who have been designated by a court as a habitual violent offender.
Some of Hutson's previous arrests include grand theft and cocaine possession.
