Treasure Island, Florida-- It provides shelter and guidance to pregnant young mothers who would otherwise end up on the streets.

Now, Alpha House of Pinellas County is struggling to keep its doors open after losing a $ 70,000 HUD grant.

Many of you donated baby items during our community baby shower, which Alpha House always appreciates.

Alpha House does not give free hand outs; the moms earn their stay, and gain skills to become self-sufficient.

In hopes of raising funds to continue providing this support and guidance to mothers in need, Alpha House is hosting a fundraiser this Saturday night, September 7,  from 6:00 to 11:00 p.m. at The Club at Treasure Island.

Alpha House of Pinellas always needs diapers, maternity clothing, gently used and new baby clothing. You can see other items they need by checking out their website below.
