Clearwater, FL - Protections for transgendered people will now be in place after the Pinellas County Commission reversing their decision from five years ago.
According to the Tampa Tribune, the 6-1 vote will apply to public and private employers and those businesses that provide housing, such as hotels, restaurants. Some organizations that would be exempt from this police would extend to religious organizations and private clubs.
This will also include the right for transgendered people to use public restrooms, changing rooms and public showers designated for the sex with which they identify.
