Tarpon Springs, Florida -- The boil water notice issed for 14 homes and businesses on Tuesday has been lifted. All water samples tested clear.
Construction workers in Tarpon Springs inadvertently broke a water line along South Disston Avenue, leading to a boil water advisory.
The affected area is South Disston Avenue between East Tarpon Avenue and East Lime Street. City officials say approximately 14 residents and businesses are affected.
Water is expected to be restored to the area early in the afternoon on Tuesday, but the water may not be safe to drink. Water sampling will be conducted once service is restored and continue Wednesday morning. Results from the sampling usually take two days to come in. Until then, anyone within the affected area is being asked to boil water before using it for drinking or cooking.
