Tampa, Florida -- The City of Tampa announced Wednesday it will begin replacement and improvements to the water main under the Davis Islands Bridge beginning the week of June 24.
The work will require intermittent lane closures of the northbound, outside lane of the bridge and the off-ramp to Bayshore Blvd. Motorists will be detoured to Plant Avenue during the closures.
The City will attempt to minimize the duration of the closures and impact to the traffic. The bridge will remain open at all times.
Projected project completion is Oct. 1.
