Tampa, Florida-- Two felons, wanted in Wisconsin for Armed Carjacking and multiple other felonies, were arrested at a local motel Sunday after SWAT and Crisis Negotiators convinced them to leave their room.
According to reports, a deputy on his normal patrol route happened to notice a stolen 2012 Dodge Ram pick-up with a Wisconsin tag outside of the Days Inn motel off Fletcher Ave.
It turned out the truck was stolen out of Washington County, WI during an armed carjacking with a knife.
The two suspects wanted for the carjacking, 39-year-old Scott Kudek and 24-year-old Kayla Goemer, were registered as guests at the local motel.
According to reports, when deputies asked Kudek and Goemer to leave the room, they threatened to harm themselves, and refused to exit the room.
Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office SWAT and the Crisis Negotiation Team had to negotiate with the two via telephone, allowing SWAT to eventually take both of them into custody.
Both Kudek and Goemer were wanted for armed carjacking, obtaining controlled substances by fraud, receiving stolen property, possession of controlled substances, manufacturing and delivering schedule II narcotics, recklessly endangering safety and felony bail jumping.
