Tampa, FL-- It's been a little over two weeks since officials say three suspects attempted to murder a man, and only one of the suspects has been caught.
Chicago authorities reportedly arrested 30-year-old Nicole Thomas after Hillsborough officials issued a warrant for her arrest in connection with the attempted murder of 30-year-old Robert Gary.
According to reports, it was Sunday, November 11 when Thomas told Gary, her former roommate, to pick up his personal belongings from her home off of Choctow Village Drive.
Gary told officials he arrived sometime between 9 and 9:20 a.m. to find Thomas and two unknown men wearing ski masks- who immediately began brutally attacking him, "striking him about his body with their hands and feet."
When Gary asked Thomas to tell them to stop, she reportedly responded with " ---- you; you owe me money."
That's when, officials say, one of the men yelled, "Get the knife, get the knife; finish him off!", and Gary was stabbed in the leg with an unknown sharp instrument.
The suspects then robbed Gary of his cell phone, an identification card and approximately $600.
In addition to the being beaten and stabbed in the leg, Gary told officials he was bitten several times by Thomas' dog.
Gary fled the residence in fear of his life, and a witness reportedly saw him stumble to a nearby field and then collapse as Thomas and her two children watched.
Neighbors helped Gary before he was transported to St. Joseph's Hospital, where doctors found him to have sustained fractures, lacerations, a puncture wound on his left, upper thigh and multiple bite wounds.
When deputies responded to Thomas' address, everyone was gone.
Officials located Thomas on Friday, November 23 in Chicago, and were also able to identify one of the other suspects as Thomas' ex-boyfriend, 20-year-old "Frank" Francisco Cepeda.
A warrant has been issued for Cepeda for Attempted Murder and Armed Robbery, though reports say the third suspect remains unidentified at this time.
