Tampa, FL-- Donnie McLendon, the gunshot victim that his friends said was wounded playing Russian Roulette last week, died Wednesday evening at Tampa General Hospital, police say.

A subsequent autopsy reportedly called David McKee and Thomas Rady's explanation of events into question. McKee and Rady were the other two people present at the time of the shooting, and they allegedly said McLendon wounded himself while taking a turn during a game of Russian Roulette.

Authorities say further investigation determined that the three were not playing Russian Roulette, but in fact McLendon was accidentally wounded by Thomas Wade Rady, who was holding the gun at the time it discharged.

All three were reportedly drinking and smoking marijuana prior to the accident.

As a result, Rady, 28, was arrested and charged with manslaughter.

He turned himself in at the Pinellas County Jail at approximately 7 p.m. Thursday evening.
