Sarasota, Florida -- A man has been charged with child abuse after police say he tied up a 4-year-old child so he could play video games.
The girl told police she was watching television on the afternoon of May 17 when Heath Howe tied her up in the kitchen and started playing "bad guy games".
She said he kept her tied up until her mom came home from the gym with a friend. The girl said her mom's friend untied her after her mom did nothing to help her.
Detectives say the rope left ligature marks on her left and right arms and red spots caused by hemorrhaged blood vessels under the skin. The girl also said this wasn't the first time Howe had tied her up but couldn't provide detectives with details on dates and times.
Howe, 27, was arrested and charged with Child Abuse.
