Tallahassee, FL-- The World Champion Palma Ceia Little League team was honored in Tallahassee on Tuesday.

The 13-and 14-year-old boys won the Junior League World Series last month, with a 2-1 win over Chinese Taipei.

Today Gov. Rick Scott and Attorney General Pam Bondi recognized the team's big accomplishment during a meeting of the Florida Cabinet.

Attorney General Bondi praised team manager Jorge Ramirez for his demeanor around the boys.

"You are the kind of coach that gets these boys where they are because of your demeanor, because of his positive attitude," said Florida Attorney General Pam Biondi.

"We received numerous compliments from not only hotel staff to umpires and tournament officials, which is rare with 13 and 14 year old boys," said Palma Ceia manager Jorge Ramirez.  "But these young men each made personal sacrifices for the benefit of their teammates and their coaches."
