St. Petersburg, FL -- An exciting day for some of the people who create your favorite primetime shows that you watch on CBS and 10 News. Melissa McCarthy from the CBS comedy Mike & Molly and Joshua Jackson from Fox's Fringe announced the nominees for the 63rd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards this morning in Los Angeles. The show will air live in mid-September.
Some of the most popular CBS shows like The Good Wife were among those acknowledged by the Academy of Arts and Sciences.
Here's a look at the Emmy's by the numbers: CBS had the most nominations of any non-cable network with 50. HBO had the most of any network with 104.
Making CBS one of the most nominated networks, shows like The Good Wife with 9, The Amazing Race had 7 noms, The Big Bang Theory with 5, Mike & Molly was nominated for 2 including the lead actress.
Julianna Margulies who plays Alicia Florrick on The Good Wife was nominated for outstanding lead actress. The show also had 2 noms each for outstanding supporting actress and actor as well as outstanding drama series.
