  • Sarasota, Florida - Five Sarasota 9th graders spent their Sunday morning entertaining crowds at Mote Aquarium in Sarasota.

They call themselves the "Garbage Men Band" and say they're promoting recycling and a green, eco-friendly message with their music. The group plays music on instruments they made themselves out of garbage and recycled materials.

On Sunday, they performed classic hits from the 1950's at Mote Aquarium's World Oceans Day Family Festival.

The group uses items like cereal boxes, bottle caps, garbage cans, garbage can lids, buckets, water jugs and even shoelaces.

Band member Jack Berry says, "We perform a set of classic hits from the '50's through today that everyone knows by heart. Our high energy show gets the crowd going every time. Sometimes people even dance!"
