Bradenton, Florida - A Bradenton woman sees her husband's picture on the evening news as a bank robbery suspect, and called authorities to turn him in.
Deputies say Troy Sandifar walked in to the First Bank at 4601 Manatee West Avenue in Bradenton Tuesday and handed the teller a note demanding money.
They say the teller gave the robbery suspect an undetermined amount of money before he took off running.
It was just after 6:30 p.m. when authorities say Afra Sandifar was watching the evening news, and called the Sheriff's Office to identify her husband Troy as the suspect from the bank surveillance photos.
Deputies say Troy Sandifar then drove off, saying he was going to kill himself. Once deputies caught up with him, they say Sandifar would not get out of the car, and swallowed a large amount of rock cocaine.
He was arrested and taken to a hospital. Investigators say Sandifar confessed to robbing the bank.
