St. Pete, FL - As a way to honor National Day of Service, the Sierra Club of Tampa Bay is looking for volunteers to help clean up the beach at Ft. De Soto Park.

First, they will clean up any trash after Labor Day Weekend celebrations, then they hope to plant 10,000 new sea oats to create new dunes on the far end of North Beach.

Sea oats stabilize dunes that serve as a nursery for birds and other Gulf wildlife.
