Tampa, Florida - The executive director of Tampa International Airport, Louis Miller has resigned. Miller has been with TIA for 14 years.
Miller sent an email this afternoon to his bosses saying, "After 14 years I sincerely believe I have accomplished the goals and objectives that were established during my tenure." He also says he wants to pursue other opportunities and decided the best decision was to resign.
Miller will stay on until April 23.
Miller's resignation comes after an outside attorney was brought in to look at his dealings at the airport. Miller, who has feuded with board members in recent months after they questioned him about how he was running the airport, has been under fire for several decisions, including trying to tear down a $4 million building without notifying the board.
