Tampa, Florida - A brief outburst by an inmate brought a judges ire today.
Richard McTear was in court for a routine hearing. When Assistant States Attorney Jalal Harb brought up a past conversation between McTear and former girlfriend Jasmine Bedwell. McTear said aloud,"You weren't there."
Judge Gregory Holder then advised Mctear that he could find him in contempt of court, to which McTear replied,"what's that contempt, more time? All I have is time."
The judge shouted at McTear to,"Shut up" and told deputies to remove McTear from the courtroom.
After 5 minutes of counseling by his attorney, McTear re-entered the courtroom and apologized to the court. The judge accepted Mctears apology and continued on with the hearing.
