Tampa, Florida -- Officials on Tuesday released more than 500 pages of information in the murder case of Richard McTear, Jr. McTear is accused of killing 3-month-old Emanuel Wesley Murray on May 5th. The body of the infant was found along I-275.
The documents released Tuesday include the medical examiner's report, which states the baby died as a result of blunt impact to the head with skull fractures. The report also outlines injuries to the infant's face, legs, arms, hands and abdomen.
Authorities say McTear hid in his ex-girlfriend Jasmine Bedwell's apartment until she came home on May 5th. Bedwell says when she returned, McTear beat her, threw her son across the room twice and kidnapped him.
McTear is currently being held in the county jail without bail. He is also charged with first degree murder and could face the death penalty if convicted.
