The current weather pattern isn't showing any signs of breaking down soon so the forecast remains similar.  We have now pushed the 90 degree mark and are seeing showers and storms developing across the area.  There will be some strong afternoon storms backing toward the coast mainly popping up up after 3pm.  Some of the storms will contain very heavy rain and gusty winds.

The pattern does not change much through the weekend, but the overall moisture content of the atmosphere will lower just a bit.  That means we will still see the afternoon showers and storms, but they will be a little less widespread.  You should still plan on seeing those typical afternoon storms.

Tuesday:Scattered showers and thunderstorms after 3 p.m. Mostly sunny, with a high near 91. Heat index values as high as 102. East wind 7 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%.

Wednesday: Scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 3 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 93. East wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%.

Thursday: Scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 9 a.m. Mostly sunny, with a high near 93. East wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Friday: Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 92. East wind 5 to 7 mph becoming south in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Saturday: Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 91. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
