Temperatures are now in the low 90s with heat index values between 100-105.  Be sure to take plenty of breaks form the heat and drink plenty of water too. The scattered showers along the coast are dying down now so we will see more storms pop up from Tampa eastward as we move through the afternoon. Most storms will be east of I-75 by 5 p.m.

Monday: Scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 8 a.m. Mostly sunny, with a high near 91. Heat index values as high as 102. Light west northwest wind becoming west 5 to 9 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Monday Night: Isolated showers and thunderstorms before 2 a.m. Partly cloudy, with a low around 75. West wind 5 to 7 mph becoming calm in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Tuesday: Scattered showers and thunderstorms after 8 a.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 92. Calm wind becoming northwest 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
