Forecast: Warm and humid with scattered PM storms

We are looking at a similar forecast today compared to yesterday. Storms will start inland after lunch but will push back toward the coast late in the day.  The best timing for storms will be after 2pm east of I-75,  then after 5pm west of of there.

A pattern change will occur when the Bermuda ridge off of the east coast sinks southward, changing or winds to the SSW.  That will change the rain pattern beginning Thursday and lasting through Monday.  A few showers will be drifting onshore each morning with the bulk of the afternoon storms firing up east of I-75.

Tuesday: Scattered showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. Mostly sunny, with a high near 91. Heat index values as high as 97. Calm wind becoming south southwest 5 to 7 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Wednesday: Scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2 p.m. Mostly sunny, with a high near 92. Light and variable wind becoming southwest 5 to 8 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.  

Thursday: Scattered showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 91. East southeast wind 5 to 7 mph becoming west southwest in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Friday: Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 91. Southwest wind 3 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Saturday: Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 91. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Sunday: Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 91. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
