Bradenton, Florida -- The final totals haven't been counted yet, but at least 50 pythons have been killed in the 2013 Florida Python Challenge.

The month-long hunt wrapped up on Sunday, and participants have until Monday to turn their catches in to Florida Fish and Wildlife.

The person who captured the most pythons and the person who caught the biggest python will win a prize.

One of the python hunters in the running for the award is Bill Booth of Bradenton. 10 News followed along with Booth last month in the Florida Everglades.

All total, Booth and his team were able to bag five pythons.  He says the first two weeks were quite successful, but that it became tougher finding the snakes when the weather warmed up.
