Tampa, Florida -- At the opening of the Florida State Fair, one state leader pledged a final binge of Twinkie enjoyment.
Florida Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam shared the breaking snack cake news live Thursday on The Morning Show on 10 News.
One of the Florida State Fair's vendors has stockpiled cases of the last Twinkies produced by the now-defunct Hostess bakery, Putnam said.
Those Twinkies will be sold -- deep-fried, of course -- at the fair, which runs from February 7th through 18th at the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa.

Other wild fair food available includes the Pizza Cone. It's described as an "ice-cream cone shaped pizza crust filled with stringy gooey mozzarella, marinara, and pepperoni."
Longtime vendor Carousel Foods has rolled out four new burgers to go along with its existing doughnut-instead-of-a-bun Krispy Kreme Burger:
- Burger with Redneck Attitude - The Redneck Burger is a cheeseburger topped with bacon, baked beans, fried bologna, and potato sticks
- Philly Burger - A chopped burger sauteed with mushrooms and onions, then topped with provolone cheese
- Uptown Burger - A hamburger with mozzarella cheese, tomato, Italian sauce, and fresh basil on top
- Burger Pisa - Take the Uptown Burger and add pepperoni, as well as optional sauteed mushrooms and onions
Also keep an eye out for vendors offering chicken & cereal on a stick, as well as alligator and shark meat.
